Etihad Rail has revealed the first official uniforms for its passenger-facing teams, offering one of the clearest public signals yet that the UAE’s long-awaited passenger rail network is moving closer to launch.
Etihad Rail unveiled the new uniforms on 25 May 2026 ahead of the introduction of passenger services across the UAE, with the designs set to be worn by onboard hosts, station teams, and customer-facing employees throughout the network.
The rollout marks another milestone in the UAE’s wider rail mobility ambitions as Etihad Rail prepares to introduce passenger operations connecting key cities and regions across the country.
Passenger experience takes centre stage
The uniforms feature a contemporary grey palette with red accents and have been designed to reflect professionalism, comfort, safety, and Emirati hospitality.
According to the company, the designs were developed specifically for the UAE operating environment with emphasis placed on functionality, ease of movement, and modern presentation while maintaining a premium and recognisable identity.
Etihad Rail said the uniforms are intended to become an extension of the passenger experience itself, representing the employees who will welcome and support travellers across the network.
Adhraa Almansoori, Executive Director of Commercial, Etihad Rail Mobility, said, “The unveiling of our official uniforms marks an important moment in the journey towards the introduction of passenger rail services in the UAE.”
She added, “Every detail has been carefully considered to reflect the values that sit at the heart of Etihad Rail: safety, professionalism, hospitality and national pride.”
UAE rail ambitions move closer to reality
The uniform launch forms part of wider preparations for Etihad Rail’s phased passenger service rollout, which is expected to begin from 2026.
The national railway network spans approximately 900 kilometres connecting major cities, ports, industrial hubs, and economic zones from Ghuwaifat to Fujairah.
Passenger services are expected to eventually connect 11 cities and regions across the UAE through a network of stations designed for commuters, business travellers, and leisure passengers.
Etihad Rail currently operates freight services across multiple terminals and ports and remains central to the UAE’s economic diversification, logistics, and sustainable mobility strategy under the country’s Projects of the 50 initiative.
Further announcements regarding passenger stations, customer experience, and operational details are expected in the coming weeks as the UAE prepares to enter a new era of rail travel.
