Euroairlines is positioning itself for a pivotal phase of global expansion. With the Middle East emerging as a core pillar of its strategy, the company is strengthening its cargo and inter-modality offerings while embedding AI across operations, shares Antonio López-Lázaro, CEO, Euroairlines, in conversation with TravTalk.

What are key priorities for expansion of Euroairlines’?
The Middle East is absolutely strategic for us, both on the passenger and cargo sides. Our industry’s centre of gravity is clearly moving eastwards, towards Asia and the Middle East, and by 2050 it is expected to sit above India. That shift makes this region critical to the long-term evolution of aviation and logistics. We have already started a clear investment roadmap in the Middle East by building local sales forces, appointing regional and local DSAs, and opening markets such as the UAE and Qatar, while also expanding into Kuwait and Oman. On the passenger side, we work with key carriers, including Etihad, Qatar Airways, and Ethiopian Airlines, alongside strong regional players. We are fully committed to the region.
You are active in both passenger and cargo businesses. What differentiates Euroairlines in bringing so many airlines and services together?
What makes us unique is our ability to consolidate the full distribution spectrum under one plate — Q4, Q2, and Q1 — across markets, sales channels, and networks. We aggregate the networks of multiple players and offer travel agents, freight forwarders, and airlines a seamless, 24/7 operation with a single point of customer service.
Each partner retains its own commercial strategy, branding, and communication, while we take care of the complex operational work. This delivers strong gains in efficiency and effectiveness for all stakeholders.
How do you incentivise travel agents and freight forwarders?
Our model is attractive because we do not charge agents to work with us. Through our SBA networks, they can manage their own mark-ups and margins freely. We believe this approach creates long-term partnerships built on trust and flexibility. We are also developing a truly multimodal system.
