As part of its commitment to the safety and security of its passengers and employees, and in line with its efforts to strengthen operational readiness amid evolving regional developments, Kuwait Airways organized a specialized awareness workshop. The session was aimed at educating employees on security and safety procedures before and after the current circumstances, as well as to highlight recent updates to operational processes, particularly those related to aircraft safety.

Kuwait Airways Acting Chief Executive Officer, Captain Abdulwahab Ibrahim Al-Shatti emphasized that security and safety are the foundation of operational excellence and business sustainability at Kuwait Airways. He noted that it is a shared responsibility that everyone is committed to protect the safety of passengers, employees, aircraft and company assets.

Al-Shatti added that these awareness initiatives are designed to promote responsiveness and foster positive behaviours that support safe operational practices for the benefit of all. He emphasized the importance of all employees adhering to applying security and safety requirements in the daily work environment, based on the individual’s awareness, behaviour, and professional commitment.

Al-Shatti urged all employees to actively participate and commit to applying the highest standards of security and safety, and to contribute to fostering a safe and sustainable work environment.

Al-Shatti concluded by emphasizing that Kuwait Airways will continue to organize such awareness and training programs, which contribute to enhancing performance, elevating safety standards, and keeping pace with the evolving challenges and developments in the aviation sector.

For his part, the Director of Operational Compliance, Safety & ERP at Kuwait Airways, Captain Yousef Al-Ali, stated that the workshop highlights the most significant changes in security and safety procedures arising from the current circumstances. He indicated that the importance of this course is in raising employee awareness of the reasons behind these changes, their potential implications, and their impact on operational processes, as well as the outcomes that participants are expected to achieve upon completing the training program.

Al-Ali added that the workshop includes a review of the new procedures to be implemented during the next phase, which will enhance employees’ readiness and responsiveness, and ensure effective handling of various operational scenarios. He noted that such programs contribute to raising awareness and fostering a culture of safety within the work environment.

Al-Ali noted that the workshop witnessed a wide attendance from aircraft crew, including cabin crew and pilots, as well as representatives from operational departments concerned with security and safety procedures. This, he said, reflects Kuwait Airways’ commitment to unifying concepts and strengthening integration across its various sectors.
