Saudi Arabia has introduced Package Visa, a new digital initiative that integrates tourist visa applications with travel bookings, allowing eligible international travellers to complete the booking and visa process through a single platform. The rollout, which has begun in selected international markets, is aimed at improving visitor convenience and supporting the Kingdom’s growing tourism sector.
The initiative enables travellers to apply for a tourist visa while booking curated travel packages through qualified travel and tourism service providers, eliminating the need to arrange flights, accommodation and visas separately. Visitors can also include events, activities and tourism experiences within the same booking process.
Package Visa forms part of Saudi’s broader strategy to make the destination more accessible. Since introducing the tourist e-Visa, the Kingdom has expanded entry options through visa-on-arrival and the Stopover Transit Visa. These initiatives helped Saudi attract more than 29 million inbound visitors in 2025.
His Excellency Ahmed Al Khateeb, Minister of Tourism, Saudi Arabia, said: “As Saudi’s tourism sector continues to grow at pace, Package Visa reflects our commitment to making travel to Saudi more seamless for visitors. By integrating visa issuance with travel bookings, we are simplifying the visitor journey and creating a more connected travel experience. This initiative also strengthens collaboration across the tourism ecosystem and supports Saudi’s position as an increasingly accessible global destination.”
The new programme is available exclusively through qualified travel and tourism service providers that meet defined service standards and provide 24/7 customer support, ensuring a consistent visitor experience.
For travel companies, the initiative is expected to create opportunities to develop integrated travel packages, encourage longer stays and enhance visitor experiences, while simplifying the booking process for international travellers.
The phased rollout will initially cover selected international markets before expanding more widely as Saudi continues to strengthen its tourism offering and improve ease of access for global visitors.
