It thrown various opportunities to showcase business, investment potential to trade visitors and leisure and tourism attractions to general visitors.
We are buoyed by the rising number of visitors and breaching the one million-mark. We believe that this has happened because of the innovative concept behind the Brazilian Pavilion showing the diversity the country has to offer, both in business as well as leisure and entertainment, said Elias Rodrigues Martins Filho, Commissioner-General of Brazil at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The pavilion, spread across 4,000 sq. mt., in the Sustainability District presents an aesthetic blend of architecture and immersive technology that brings to life Brazilian attractions to the fore with the help of 125 giant projectors. The interior of the pavilion was made of translucent membranes on which video images of Brazilian forests, rivers, urban centres, food and culture are projected. A statement from the Brazilian Export and Investment Promotion Agency (Apex-Brasil), managing the country’s participation at the Expo 2020, said the one millionth visitor was a Brasilian tourist Costa Van Heeswijk’s and his family planning to move to Dubai. The pavilion awarded them with an amazing dinner at their restaurant Nossa.
“We had a steady flow of visitors, opening up vistas for participation of Brazilian businesses at the Expo 2020 Dubai to explore trade and investment partnerships, meeting our key objectives of presenting Brazil – the country’s business and investment potential and tourism – to a global audience,” said the Commissioner-General of Brazil at Expo 2020 Dubai.
The key thematic attractions of pavilion include biodiversity and showcasing the country’s endeavour in nature conservation, environmental focus and contribution to climate change mitigation. Brazil Pavilion is also presenting its potential in investment and trade across significant verticals such as food, travel and tourism. The Brazil Pavilion also evokes the experience of Amazon rainforest in Dubai.
